Hello!
Well, the weather has been abysmal
and thanks to raging flu, 
I have been housebound for the last two days! 
I have the concentration of a concussed fruit fly and work is near impossible.
So, I thought I would catch up on dA and discover some new favourites!

Hello! 
I just wanted to wish everyone Merry Christmas!
Wow! It is amazing to think that another year has gone by, the world did not unsurprisingly end the other day and now 2013 is just around the corner!
2012 was truly a brilliant year for Britain! The Olympics, Paralympics and the Queen's Jubilee! All three were just incredible and terrific fun! I loved every minute, and it was so nice to see such pride in our nation and what we could achieve! Marvelous!
I love Christmas and strongly dislike Christmas music. There I admitted it, despite knowing so many bloomin' haters! It is the only time of the year, reasonable people transform seemingly overnight, and slip into a distinct mindset: Loathing or Euphoria! Or the third type: ''Today? No...It can't be!'' who are literally shocked into accepting the truth and spend the day looking bewildered. Imagine all three types fighting for elbow space
To me, nothing can compare with being surrounded by friends and family as we enjoy old traditions and new ideas. A time to treasure and reflect on the amazing people in your life.

Leaving dA

Hello!
Well, I have fantastic and some rather bad news.
Fantastic news first I think. Two years ago, three good mates of mine set up an engineering firm based in North London. It took awhile to get funding, (considering the Recession, not much of a surprise) but their company has proven to be a wonderful success!
One of their employees left the company, apparently for personal reasons, abandoning them at a crucial time. They have seen me through some pretty hard times over the years, never more than when I lost my job earlier this year. On Johnny's suggestion, I managed to not exactly re-train, more like expand my skill-set with my savings and the Open University. Johnny offered me the job and I am now working full-time for my favourite trio!
I am immensely proud to work for these three and I have enjoyed every moment.
On to the bad news. I have decided to leave dA. Not permanently, just for now.
The trio is relying on me to pull off their new product line, and every spare moment of my time has gone into building the statistical groundwork, we need to formalize the system. The Open University is absorbing the remaining hours of the day, so I have little time for dA.
I am sad to go nevertheless. I have truly enjoyed being a part of this community. Art is a great passion of mine, but the people I have met here on dA are nothing short of beautiful and remarkable! I shall miss it greatly, but I will re-log on at some point!
To all my Watchers: Thank you so much for your support and interest in my photos. You are a true inspiration!
To the amazing friends I have met over the last two years: It has been an absolute pleasure knowing you and I feel truly blessed to have met such terrific people!
Keep up the fantastic, beautiful and downright inspired work & please stay safe!

Ruptured Ankle

Well...I cannot say it was my finest moment...
Recently, I had a bit of an accident and nearly broke my ankle for the third time in a decade. Three is the charm right? According to my GP, I have ruptured the main ligament in my foot. It is currently swollen and so bruised it looks vaguely artistic, in a nice blend of blue, purple, brown and black. So much for trying new forms of exercise.
I thought I knew what to expect, but it has really set me back quite a bit this time. The timing is rotten, as the trade show is coming up and we have all worked to support our division, but as Kooma pointed out, walking from my chair to the door is painful enough. Could I honestly face traveling in a plane, the inevitable hassle of hotel, trade show and the complex set-up process? I had to admit no. Not really.
Kooma broke me out of hospital yesterday and installed me in his guest bedroom, with his amazing smooth efficiency within the same hour. He really is absolutely terrific! He can cut through my bluster like a pro and that glare of his can put anyone off stupid ideas, like trying to climb the stairs without help, so I could in his words, ''explore options to crack something else'' i.e. my head or back. Everyone though as been fantastic and incredibly supportive, something I am truly grateful for.
I am sorry that I have been so late in replying to your messages and I hope everyone had a wonderful Valentine!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

I just wanted to wish everyone a Merry Christmas! 
It is amazing to think that this year has come to an end, and we will soon be celebrating 2012... As with every year, this one has been filled with the good, the memorable and the not so good, including the disaster in Japan and the crisis of the EuroZone. Hopefully, 2012 will be better.
